editorial photography begins with an idea.

It might be a book you have always loved, a piece of music you listen to on repeat, or clothing that makes you feel inspired, an era that feels like home.

A place that makes you feel alive.

A passion you've turned into a business and you want to show people the vision within you.

A memory you want to relive  —  or simply a feeling that you can't quite put into words.

You don't need to arrive with a finished concept. Simply bring me the beginning of one, and together we'll turn it into a visual world created entirely around you.

Some stories aren't meant to be told

They're meant to be seen

the idea

It starts with you.

Tell me what has been living in your imagination. It doesn't need to be polished, practical or even completely make sense yet. Just bring to the table whatever you have already.

I'll listen to what you're drawn to, how you want the images to feel, what you want them to say and how you want to use them, be it personal or business. Together, we'll find the story within your idea — and begin bringing what it will become to life.

the direction

This is where your idea begins to take shape.

I'll develop the creative direction for your shoot, scouting locations, styling, colour, texture, props and all the finer details that will bring your story together.

I'll create a mood board so you can begin to see the world we're building before we ever pick up the camera. Every choice I make will have a purpose — creating something unmistakably yours, for your approval.

the shoot

This is where your idea comes to life.

With your world created, it's time for you to step in it. We'll create photographs that feel cinematic, expressive and completely personal to you.

Nothing is about performing for the camera or getting every moment perfect — although there will be lots of direction! I'll guide you throughout the shoot, while leaving enough space for you to simply be yourself. The trick is to really believe in the world you've brought to life and allow yourself to play in it for just a little while.

Because sometimes the photographs we never planned are the ones that tell your story best.

the bits before the magic

Every editorial is completely bespoke, so before anything is booked, we need to work out exactly how your story is going to be told.

Once you've shared your idea with me, I'll come back to you with an initial concept and a breakdown of any additional costs involved—such as location hire, clothing or specialist props. With a little luck, we will be able to envisage your story taking shape together quite quickly, but sometimes it can take a little discussing to tease the intricacies of an idea out.

Once that's all done, if you love what I have in mind and would like to go ahead, I'll send you over everything you need to make it official. Your signed agreement and 50% booking fee will secure your booking, subject to confirming the availability of the chosen location and date.

Then the magic can begin...
